Smashed Brussels Sprouts

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds whole organic Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt divided
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon paprika

PROCESS

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Clean and trim mussel sprouts. Steam until soft.

In a small bowl add all the seasoning and mix together.

Add parchment paper to a baking sheet. Once brussel sprouts are done steaming, add them to the sheet. Drizzle with olive oil.
Using the bottom of a large glass or mason jar, smash each brussel sprout until flat.
Sprinkle with seasoning.
Flip and season other side.

Bake the Brussels sprouts for about 20-25 minutes or until crispy.
Place some queso sauce install bowl for dipping. Enjoy.
